Services we offer

  • If you’re coming to the end of your current NDIS plan or experiencing insufficient funding in your current plan to support your needs, you may need to have a functional capacity assessment. Once the assessment is complete, we will develop a comprehensive report detailing your functional capacity, including your strengths, limitations and barriers you may have participating in daily activities. This report used to inform the development or reassessment of your NDIS plan.

    Occupational Therapy FCA are conducted by occupational therapists to assess your capacity to perform daily activities such as personal care, domestic tasks, and community aspects where we specifically address your abilities in:

    • Mobility
    • Biomechanical strengths
    • Cognition level
    • Mental health
    • Social skills
    • Sensory processing
    • Behaviours management
    • Participation in daily activities

    This FCA report is crucial for NDIS to understand your functional level and provide sufficient funding to meet your care needs.

  • We complete housing assessment to explore suitable housing options for our clients who have high support needs or with extreme functional impairment. We work closely with the support coordinators and housing liaison officers to assist clients in achieving their housing goals.

  • We provide comprehensive assessments to ensure safety access within the home. We assist with minor and major home modifications around the home by submitting application with OT report to NDIS sector. Home modifications including grab rails, ramps, level access shower, bathroom modifications and etc.

    OT roles in this area are:
    • Home assessments
    • Liaison with builders to arrange site visits and obtain quotes.
    • Provide strategy drawings and scope of works.
    • Preparation of reports for the NDIS application

  • We visit you in your home to understand the challenges you may be experiencing in daily life. From our assessment and observation, we can support you to find the most appropriate equipment to maximise your independence and safety when participating activities at home, work or in the community.

    These include:
    • Manual or powered or scripted (customised) wheelchairs.
    • Portable ramps
    • Shower commodes
    • Electric bed and mattress
    • Pressure care mattress and seating cushions
    • Shower chair and toilet frame
    • Transfers equipment such as ceiling hoists, portable hoists and slings, walker, walking sticks.
    • Long handled adaptive aids

  • We're here to help you enhance your skills and put in place effective strategies for managing your mental health. This includes establishing routines, managing medications, and improving sleep habits. Additionally, we address challenges related to concentration, motivation, sensory processing, and anxiety, which can affect your ability to carry out daily tasks like self-care, work, and socialising. Our team works closely with you to support you in reaching your goals.

  • Our therapy services focus on enhancing fine motor skills and social skills through tailored occupational therapy sessions. For fine motor skills, we provide activities and exercises aimed at improving hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and precision. Through engaging tasks and specialized tools, we work to strengthen hand muscles and refine motor control, promoting independence in activities such as writing, dressing, and feeding.

    In our social skills therapy, we create a supportive environment where individuals can develop effective communication, cooperation, and interaction skills. Through role-playing, group activities, and guided discussions, we address social challenges and help individuals navigate social situations with confidence. Our goal is to foster meaningful connections and build the skills needed for successful social interactions in various settings.

  • We provide personalized home visits to gain insight into the challenges you face in your daily life. These challenges may encompass a range of areas, including mobility issues, transferring between surfaces, hand and arm function, mastering tasks like tying shoelaces, managing finances, organizing daily activities, time management, maintaining concentration, problem-solving, self-care routines, such as showering and toilet hygiene, and meal preparation. By understanding your unique needs within the context of your home environment, we can tailor our support to help you overcome these obstacles and enhance your quality of life.

  • We provide support to children and adults who struggle with regulating emotions, understanding their feelings, and managing behaviors. Through home visits and targeted strategies, we empower our clients to express their thoughts and emotions in healthy and appropriate ways. By fostering effective communication and emotional awareness, we help individuals develop the skills they need to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.
